The Almighty Architect Above
The Almighty Architect Above
In Awe of God's Power
After a long night of calls I thought that I would watch a little ESPN. They were showing a story on Jason Kendall Ray who was the mascot of UNC Tar Heels. On March 26, 2007, Jason died from a pedestrian/vehicle accident. They were sharing how through his death many lives were saved through his organs being donated. They showed story after story of individuals who had received life through his death.
In the interview his parents agreed to meeting those recipients of Jason’s organs. It was incredible to watch. After meeting some of those who were transformed, Jason’s father said (maybe not word for word) “I don’t understand how anyone, after hearing the incredible stories of how these individuals were given life in precisely the right timing, could not believe that there is an architect up there. How could anyone not see the reality that there is a God in control of this all.”
If that statement were not amazing enough in and of itself, this is. Right after he said that statement, the once calm evening in the Hauquitz home was calm no longer. The front door burst open as the wind blew with great force, through that now open doorway, and the rain began to pour down with might outside. It was so Awesome!
I jumped up in awe of what had just occurred. Yes Lord, you are indeed sovereign and in control over all! After looking outside at the rain and wind for a moment then quickly back at the tv, I ran back to the office to tell Bryn “That was so awesome, that was so awesome!” Tonight I was reminded of God’s power and the ways that he works all things together for good! I give Him all the praise!
