Loving the Fall
Loving the Fall
Still Warm
I hope that you all are doing great and enjoying some fall weather. I know we are! The weather here is still really nice out and all the leaves are changing and it is absolutely gorgeous outside. We have been enjoying the extra warm days and Keenan has definitely loved them because it means more time in the sandbox and chasing balls around in the grass!
Our classes continue to go well and are getting more intense by the day. Last week we learned past tense and more question asking vocab and sentence structure. Ahhhh! There are definitely times where I get discouraged that I am not learning as fast as I would like to but I have to remind myself time and time again that if I knew French I wouldn’t be here and since I am here Im learning. I guess it takes time to learn a language or something.... who knew? But overall Craig and I are really really grateful for our classes and the time that we have with other students and the french friends we are making. Both of our teachers fit our personalities and learning styles so well that we know that the Lord was in control of event that! Hurray!
Keenan is doing really great and is officially the only child in the nursery that has not gotten sick. Every other kid has had something in the past couple of weeks and Keenan is staying strong. So pray that that would continue and he wouldn’t even get the sniffles! He is walking all over the place now and he loves going up and down the stairs in our apartment. He could do it all day if I could. Sitting on the stairs and watching him do it over and over and over gets a little old after about 20 minutes. Another fun new adventure is bedtime for him. For the longest time I would nurse him and put him down asleep but we have switched to putting him down awake for the past few weeks and it is so funny to hear him talk himself to sleep. We hear glaa glaa boo MA!! (pause) MA!! Bla bababa ball ball MA!! (pause) MA!! (pause) MA!! He also really likes to pretend he is reading books now. He will sit by himself and open a book, babble, and then close it. He repeats this several times before he is done with the book completely. We have a recording of it and it is pretty cute. The last new thing that I can think of at this moment is he now loves to share. A lot. He gives everything to anyone, but as long as he gets it back soon:)! He likes it so much that he will reach down and pretend to pick something up and hold out his hand to hand it to you. We think he just likes the reaction of “thank you!”
Im just sending a few pictures this time around. There is one of a beautiful church at the end of a cute little street near the school, one of Keenan and his friends at a birthday party (the boy to Keenan’s right is the birthday boy josiah turned three, but he still swears he is two:)), and some of the fam enjoying the great outdoors and some fall weather. There is also one of KJ sharing a leaf with me.
We love you all and hope that all is well! Let us know if there is anything new in your lives or if we can be praying for you!!!
Love,
The Hauquitzesesssssss
